Giving Tiers and Benefits

Recognizing cumulative gifts made during the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) to any UC Berkeley school, college, department, or program.


GOLD (Graduate Of the Last Decade) membership celebrates recent undergraduate alumni by offering Charter Hill Society Member-level benefits at reduced minimum levels of annual giving:

  • $250 for alumni who graduated in the last 1 to 4 years (graduation years 2018- 2021)
  • $500 for alumni who graduated in the last 5 to 9 years (graduation years 2013-2017)

Member $1,000–$2,499

  • Campaign and donor-specific communications
  • Invitations to Discover Cal traveling lectures
  • Complimentary admission to Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) galleries*
  • Invitation to two football pre-game events
  • Dedicated assistance with questions about your membership and other campus matters*

Affiliate $2,500–$4,999

All benefits above, plus:

Associate $5,000–$9,999

All benefits above, plus:

  • Annual comprehensive report of your giving, including descriptions of the impact of private philanthropy on the departments you supported
  • Invitation to the Charter Hill Society Annual Leadership Roundtable, a private event that offers the opportunity to interact with UC Berkeley’s exceptional community and leaders

Partner $10,000–$24,999

All benefits above, plus:

  • Invitation to the Berkeley Charter Gala
  • Library card privileges at all main and subject-based libraries on campus (California residents only)*
  • Concierge services for customized campus tours, purchasing tickets to campus events, and other special arrangements*
  • Private tours with the following campus partners, arranged upon request*
    • Gallery tour of BAMPFA
    • Garden tour of University of California Botanical Garden at Berkeley
    • Gallery tour of the University Library

Patron $25,000+
