Shannon Jackson, Associate Vice Chancellor for the Arts and Design
Appointed in 2015 as UC Berkeley’s first Associate Vice Chancellor for the Arts and Design, Dr. Jackson holds the Cyrus and Michelle Hadidi Chair in the Humanities and is professor of rhetoric and of theater, dance and performance studies. She has written widely on the role of the arts in social institutions and in social change. Her numerous awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Heston Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Performance Studies.
Julia Bryan-Wilson, Associate Professor, Art History: Modern and Contemporary Art
Professor Bryan-Wilson is the author of Art Workers: Radical Practice in the Vietnam War Era and editor of OCTOBER Files: Robert Morris. Recognition for her writing includes a Creative Capital/Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant, and she has won several awards for her teaching.
Edmund Campion, Professor, Music and Co-Director of the Center for New Music and Audiotechnologies (CNMAT)
Professor Campion’s recent projects include a Fromm Foundation commission for Outside Music, written for the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, and a French Ministry of Culture Commande d’etat for Ondoyants et Divers. His many awards and fellowships include a Rome Prize and the Paul Fromm Award at Tanglewood.
